Dedication of the Marathi translation of my first book ‘Halt Station India’ at the hands of 79-year-old Shri Subhash C. Dixit, one of the oldest employees of the iconic Parel workshop of the erstwhile Great Indian Peninsula Railway, now Central Railway in Mumbai in October 2024. Dixit was instrumental in running the two WP-class steam locomotives with heritage train in Mumbai during the 150 years of Indian Railway celebrations in 2002.

Meeting Mumbai’s original railway activist who became Minister of Railways (MoS with Independent charge), Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and 19th Governor of Uttar Pradesh 90-year-old Padmashri Ram Naik with my latest book ‘The Lines of Prosperity’ published by Western Railway. He was instrumental in setting up the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation, the city’s own rail body, which has now completed 25 years. (September 2024)
